Abba's Orchard School

One of the most expensive schools in our city is Abba's Orchard School. It's a Maria Montessori school located at Alwana Business Park, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City. The one I have in the picture here is their second campus - the farm campus situated on top of the mountain of Pualas, Bukidnon. Just a 30 minute ride from the heart of the city of Cagayan de Oro. One can go there passing Barangay Macasandig and Taguanao.

Waig Crystal Spring Resort

My family and I spent our vacation here last May 6, 2009. Actually, we’ve been here too last November 2008 during the 2nd birthday of my niece. This spring resort is located in the province of Bukidnon. It’s a three-hour travel from the city of Cagayan de Oro. The place is known for its beautiful spring resorts and Waig Crystal is just one of the main attractions of spring resorts in Maramag, Bukidnon.

Duka Bay Resort

Last May 24, 2008 we went to Duka Bay Resort in Medina, Misamis Oriental. Just a one hour and forty-five minute bus ride from Cagayan de Oro City. It's a pleasant place where you can relax and have a nice view of the Camiguin Island. The whole area is shaded by great looking large trees. In the western side of the bay are beautiful large rocks where you can see small crabs. Those of you who are into sports can try their kayaks, water bikes and gear for scuba diving. It's a fantastic place for swimming and snorkeling too. You'll see lots of colorful, tropical fish. The most wonderful experience I had was riding the glass bottom boat and witnessed the most spectacular coral reef and caves populated with marine life.

Nanuri International School

Nanuri International School is located at Taguanao, Indahag, Cagayan de Oro City. It is an international boarding school started by a Korean Adventist Pastor. In school year 2007 they had about 70 students (between 8-19 years of age) of which 85 percent were Korean and 15 percent were Filipinos. The first school they had here in Cagayan de Oro was somewhere in Carmen just near the heart of the city. Then last year they transferred to this new beautiful location. It’s in the mountain with fantastic overlooking scenery. I was here last October 2007 when I had my biking going to the Convention Center. It’s just a 2-minute bike below from the convention center.

Xavier Estates Clubhouse

We had our Mindanao-wide Christmas Party last December 11, 2007 here at the Xavier Estate Clubhouse, Cagayan de Oro City. It is located within the Xavier Estate, a high-end and first class subdivision in our city. It is near SM Mall and the Airport.

It has been raining a lot that day but when we arrived around 5:30pm at the Clubhouse the rain had stopped already. As I was walking with my officemates along the corridor I glimpsed outside the window and this is what I saw. I just can't help myself but take some photos. The fog is so awesome!

Taguanao Bridge

These were taken when I had my biking at the Taguanao Bridge. It is also called the 4th bridge of Cagayan de Oro which is located at the newly opened South Diversion Road. The opening of this bridge really help in the traffic problem affecting roads leading to Upper Balulang and the Lumbia Airport. The bridge was a project of the city government under the administration of then Mayor Vicente Y. Emano.

CDO Convention Center

I had my biking last October 2007 at the on-going Cagayan de Oro Convention Center. It’s located on the mountain of sitio Taguanao, Indahag, Cagayan de Oro City. Just a 30-minute bike ride from my place. The first time I came here was in March 2006. The uphill climb was a real challenge. It felt forever to reach the top. I thought I could never make it. It was quite tough for a first timer like me but the reward was so great when you get there. It’s absolutely wonderful!

Fil-Estate Biking

I go for a mountain biking three times a week. During weekdays, usually I'll be biking for only thirty to forty minutes. On Sundays, I bike for 1 hour to 1-1/2 hours. These are some of the pictures I have taken during my biking at the Fil-Estate Subdivision. It is an unfinished residential subdivision in Upper Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City. The place is overlooking the city of Cagayan de Oro and Macajalar Bay.

White Water Rafting

Taken last May 18, 2007 when I had my first water rafting with my officemates at the Cagayan de Oro River. My officemates' kids were with us too. It was a wonderful experience and a very exciting one. Those who want to shout at the top of their voice you can do it here because the rapids are so breathtaking that you can't help yourself but shout. hehehe. Aside from the rapids, the panoramic view of the river rocky walls, untouched vegetation and the sight of the resting haven of monkeys are so overwhelming that you will feel in awe of God's creation.

Waterfalls

These three images were taken along the highway of Kisolon, Bukidnon when I was on my way back to Cagayan de Oro City. I dont know the name of this waterfalls but I really love it. And I love the green wild plants surrounding the falls. The scenery is so spectacular that I can't help myself but take some pictures everytime we have our stop over there. Like most of the Great Outdoors, photos don't do the real thing justice, but they do allow you to catch a glimpse of a part of Nature that you might have otherwise missed.

The first two pictures were taken last November 4, 2005 having no rain for a few weeks. The third photo was taken on July 2, 2006 during a rainy season.
